Dr. Montoya holds a Doctorate of Social Work and a Master of Social Work and is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision designation (LISW-S). With 10 years of experience in the helping profession, Dr. Montoya is well-versed in trauma care and is committed to working with all ages and populations.

Specializing in Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) and dual diagnosis Mental Health/Substance Use Disorder (MH/SUD), Dr. Montoya has been instrumental in the development of an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team, showcasing a dedication to improving mental health services and outcomes.

Driven by a passion for macro-level social work, Dr. Montoya enjoys creating systemic changes that positively impact multiple lives within the community and agency settings.
